The Flexi-Semi Concept

Our concept of the Flexi-Semi is an innovation tailored to enable second-time buyers to progress further up the property ladder in two manageable steps.

The model works as follows:

1. You buy the "second-time buyer" home you can afford now in the form of a 3-bed semi which comes with inbuilt full planning approval for congruent plans for a future extension already in place.
2. At some stage in the future, when accrued equity in your property allows you to draw down sufficient funds, you can upgrade your home by adding extra space in a relatively effortless fashion.

The Flexi-Semi has been designed in a way that allows it to be extended without you ever having to vacate your property for the time it takes to have these works carried out.

Your new extension blends seamlessly with your existing home and would comprise an integral garage at ground level with a utility room at the rear, with access directly from your existing kitchen.

At first floor level there are two flexi layout options to chose from, namely, one providing you with an additional fourth bedroom and separate study, or alternatively you could choose to have the same space fitted out as a master bedroom suite with dressing room and a private en-suite bathroom.

The construction work could take place without any disruption to the household as all public utility connections are capped outside the house in readiness for connecting up to the newly built extension and then, when the work is finished, your existing back door opens into a utility room and garage, and when the full length window on the upstairs landing is removed and replaced by a door, you can now access your new master bedroom suite (or other room arrangement).

Once completed you will have moved to step 3 on the property ladder without ever having to suffer the disruption of moving home.
